Pokémon Card Parts
Image: The picture of
the Pokémon that's named on the card.
Name:
The name of the Pokémon.
Evolution: What stage the Pokémon is at and what it evolves from.
Type: What type of Pokémon it is. It could be Fire, Water, Grass,
Electric, Physic, Ground, or Colorless.
Hit Points: How much damage your Pokémon can take before it's knocked out.
Attacks: This is a list of the different attackes the Pokémon has and
how many energy cards have to be attached to the Pokémon for the attack to work.
Weakness: This is the type of Pokémon your Pokémon is weak against.
Damage done by the type of Pokémon your weak against is doubled.
Resistance: This is the type of Pokémon your Pokémon is resistant to. Any
damage done by a Pokémon is reduced by the amount shown.
Retreat Cost: How many attached energy cards you haveto discard from you
Pokémon to return it to the bench.
Flavor Text: A little saying to add something interesting to the game.
First Edition Symbol: This shows that the card is a first edition card. Not all
Pokémon cards have this.
Expansion Symbol: This symbol shows what expansion the card is from. The Basic set
has no expansion symbol.
Illustrator: The person who made the Image on the card.
Rarity Symbol: Shows how rare the card is. =
Common = Uncommon = Rare
Number: What number the card is out of 102, 64, or 62.
